What you submit

Because review is blind, you upload two separate files so our professor and PhD reviewers can judge the work without knowing who wrote it:

  • Anonymized manuscript — your full paper with the abstract, but with all names, schools, acknowledgements, and identifying details removed. Refer to yourself as “the author.”
  • Title page — a separate file with the title, all authors, affiliations, and contact email. Only the editor sees this.

The process, step by step

  1. Create an account & submit

Sign in to the portal, enter your title and abstract, and upload your two files. You get a submission ID immediately.

  2. Pay the round fee

A $100 fee applies to each review round, paid securely by card or PayPal on your submission page. Your review clock starts the moment it clears — no receipts to email.

  3. Expert review

The editor assigns reviewers — professors and PhD economists — who submit structured reports within 14 days. You are notified at each step by email.

  4. Decision & revision

You receive a decision — accept, minor or major revisions, or decline — with the full letter. If revisions are requested, you upload a revised manuscript and a response-to-reviewers letter for the next round.

  5. Publication

Accepted papers are copy-checked and published in the next numbered volume with a citable page reference.

Keep it anonymous. Before uploading, check your manuscript's file properties, tracked-changes, and comments — these often reveal a name. Reviewers should never be able to identify you from the manuscript file.

What we look for

A clear economic question, evidence appropriate to that question (data, a model, or careful reasoning), honest discussion of limitations, and writing a reader can follow. Original analysis matters more than advanced technique.
